My first memory of working on a building was at around 14 years old, my dad was a property maintenance manager and one Saturday was had to take down a wall on the first floor of a shop. My job was to carry the bricks down the stairs in buckets and into the skip.
It was hard work! however, little did I realise I was learning about how a wall is constructed and how heavy bricks are! I was hooked from that day; construction was going to be my career.
An electrical apprenticeship followed, and a trade card awarded after four years (I still maintain my installation electrician card today) whilst I my trade was electrical, I had a passion for all aspects of construction.
At the age of 21 I started a small building maintenance company working with local estate agents doing anything from repairing broken windows, full refurbishments to attending repossessions.
Fast forward a few years and I had worked my way through the ranks to be an Operations Director for two national contractors working on some fantastic multimillion projects all over the country.
I invest in property myself; I am an HMO landlord and run a property maintenance company focussed on Landlords.

Buildings are my passion; I see opportunity everywhere for investors. BUT I have also seen so many people lose money because they just didn’t see or know what to look for when viewing properties.
From there the Build Knowledge Expert was founded, I want to teach you the benefit of my 34 years of working in construction to help you avoid the risks and benefit from the opportunities.
